How to remove moles?
Do you want to know how to get rid of moles?
Doctors make use of two main types of surgeries to remove moles. If you are one of those who can't stand the idea of having stitches, choose the cutting method. No stitching, whatsoever, is required in cutting. The main tool used to perform the surgery is a scalpel. Shaving is done on the mole and its surrounding area using the scalpel. Since the moles are to be removed from the root, shaving is done even on the area below the mole itself. Before understanding on how to get rid of moles, you need to choose a well-qualified doctor for this purpose.
What if, while removing the moles, it starts to bleed?
At times like these, a special solution is put to use. Another way to deal with bleeding is by applying a little heat over the area. Burning this area does not imply charring the skin. Cauterization, through the use of electrical instruments can also be used. A topical antibiotic is normally applied on the area after cauterization. This application would not only make the wound heal faster but also to prevent infections. Covering the wound with band aid will also help a lot in avoiding infection or further complications. Further instructions provided by the surgeon to heal the wound faster have to be followed.
Now how do you go about removing flat moles?
There are moles that are raised from the skin. Others are flat and dark-colored. Whatever mole type it is, it can be removed. Direct cutting would be performed for dark moles that are flat against the skin, and some stitching would also be needed. Excision is the most common remedy when removing moles like these. You may not be too happy having a mole on your cheek or your chin. They may even cause problems, when it comes to your looks. But there is no need to worry about it. Those moles can be easily and deftly excised by skilled surgeons. Before excision, the area around the mole will be rendered numb through the use of creams or injections. This helps in relieving the pain while cutting. The mole area would, of course, be sterilized before surgery is conducted. Both methods require the use of a scalpel. The mole will be cut with the scalpel, along with the surrounding region. The size of the border will vary from one person to another. If the cancerous moles are removed, the border size might be a little larger. At times, the surgeons might feel that cancer might occur, if they use a small border size. Thus, the size of the border might be increased. There are two main types of stitches that can be done. Deep skin regions require one type of stitching. This type won't require subsequent removal since they will be absorbed by the skin. Meanwhile, the other type of stitches is for surface skin; therefore they would need to be removed after a time.
